Be at the heart of helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives – this includes both physical and mental health. We're focused on providing accessible, high-quality, and innovative mental health care across Australia, ensuring that clients and patients receive the support they need when it matters most.

Bupa recognises the ever-increasing demand for mental health care and is committed to bridging the gap in service supply by developing a national network of mental health clinics to fulfil our purpose.

About the Role

As a psychologist at our new South Yarra Centre, you'll be a pivotal part of our team, shaping the future of mental health services and guiding clinical excellence across our network. This role is an opportunity to drive meaningful change and innovate new ways to support mental health journeys. You'll play a pivotal role in establishing our initial practices, patient journeys and growing our network of mental health clinics across Australia.

In this role, you'll:

1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and provide evidence-based therapies.
2. Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessments and patient needs.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
4. Build and sustain collaborative relationships with referring healthcare providers to strengthen patient referral networks and support practice growth.
5. Coordinate with external providers to fulfill service requests within an established procedural framework.

Your Opportunity

This is a permanent position that can adapt to your current schedule, from 2 – 5 days per week. Want to work ½ days? That is something we can also consider – please reach out to discuss.

This role will be based at our new centre in South Yarra, Melbourne. Please note, this centre is due to be in operation by late-July/early-August, so we are curating our team for that start date.

So Why Bupa?

1. Professional development – be the start of an exciting time with the business, growing a brand-new division of Bupa.
2. Career growth – As we grow, you grow, opening new opportunities internally.
3. Solid client base – Utilising the Bupa network and referrals, a consistent base of clients.
4. Financial security – Through employee engagement, last minute cancellations or changes in schedule won't affect your salary.
5. Work in a multidisciplinary team – Be in a great team with other like-minded professionals.
6. Flexibility – Let's work with your schedule allowing you to regain real work/life balance.

About you

We're seeking an experienced Psychologist or a Clinical Psychologist with:

1. Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or a Master's/Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
2. General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, with Clinical Psychology endorsement and substantial experience in mental health care.
3. 5+ years of recent clinical experience.
4. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
5. Exhibit advanced clinical expertise in mental health services.
6. Commit to delivering high-quality care and fostering innovation in service delivery.
