Overview

Trade Accountant role in Melbourne with CMA CGM Group, ANL brand. The role ensures timely and accurate submission of trade financial results to management in compliance with company policies and procedures, and collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to analyze financial data and support decision-making.

Reporting to: Senior Trade Accountant

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Melbourne

Responsibilities

- Prepare and submit accurate trade financial results in a timely manner.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies.
- Perform cost and revenue reconciliations for trade operations.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Line Management, Operations, and Cost Control, to support financial processes.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including CMA CGM/ANL Representative Offices, on trade-related financial matters.
- Assist the Senior Trade Accountant in preparing detailed reports and supporting audits.

Qualifications & Skills

- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; prior experience in a similar role is highly regarded.

Eligibility: To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident. New Zealand citizens planning to relocate to Melbourne are welcome to apply. Remote working from overseas and interstate locations will not be considered.
