Overview

Respect Aged Care’s Masters Lodge in Hervey Bay is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Food Services Assistants to join our kitchen team on a part-time basis.

In this essential role, you will help ensure that our residents receive well-prepared, nutritious meals that meet their individual dietary needs and enhance their daily living experience. Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation, portioning, serving, and timely delivery of meals and refreshments to residents
- Ensure meals are served in accordance with individual dietary requirements and preferences, as outlined by clinical staff and the Food Services Program (FSP)
- Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the FSP, including temperature checks, recording deliveries, and maintaining food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness in food preparation, service, and dining areas in line with hygiene and safety standards
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to support a clean and safe environment
- Communicate effectively with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction and address food-related concerns
- Perform other related tasks as directed and appropriate to your skills and training

Qualifications & Experience

- Completion of a recognised Food Handling Course
- A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in residential aged care food services is highly regarded
- Background in hospitality or catering will be well regarded
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary requirements in an aged care setting is an advantage
