Djinda Dreaming Education Huntingdale, is currently seeking a passionate Room Leader to join us. We’re looking for someone positive, proactive, and takes pride in their work. If you’re driven, enthusiastic, and love making a difference, you’ll thrive as part of our supportive and energetic team.

Main Tasks:

- Lead and manage a room/team of educators, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in the room.
- Supervise, mentor, and support educators, including allocating tasks and responsibilities.
- Foster strong relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Monitor and document children’s learning and development, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain compliance with the National Quality Standards (NQS), centre policies, and regulations.
- Manage routines such as meals, rest, and transitions effectively.
- Engage families through open communication about children’s progress and room activities.
- Support inclusion and meet the needs of individual children, including those with additional needs.

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

- Diploma of Early Childhood, and a minimum of 2 years’ full time work experience in the industry; OR 3 years’ work experience in the industry to substitute the formal qualification.

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:

- Ability to relate to people from all walks of life
- Exceptional verbal communication
- Attention to detail and thoroughness
- Industry experience as a Room Leader
- Willingness to advance your career with further ongoing training and mentoring
- Computer skills of a basic level and are willing to be trained
- Able to lead and mentor your fellow team members

Annual salary will be between $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
