Senior Geospatial Analyst

Position Number: 4113 Location: Bungendore The Package: $100,678.24 - $111,250.36 gross per annum + 12% super (Evaluated as Grade 15 of the QPRC Salary System 2025), plus potential performance-based progression. Full-time - 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.
Are you ready to turn spatial insights into real-world impact across our growing region? Council is seeking a dedicated professional to join our high-performing strategic planning team as a Senior Geospatial Analyst.
In this role you will:
- Curate and maintain Council’s land and spatial information.
- Produce and deliver high quality geospatial products, including digital and hard copy maps, models, dashboards and other online tools.
- Undertake specialist spatial analysis and provide advice to support council’s strategic planning functions.
- Drive and promote the integration of geospatial capability within the work of the branch and directorate, including through mentoring junior staff.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has tertiary qualifications in GIS (or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in GIS, mapping systems and planning and development functions.
- Is technically proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, scripting and analysis tools (e.g. Python, SQL, FME), electronic records management and Microsoft Office, and experience managing spatial databases and automated workflows.
- Communicates clearly, leads and mentors teams, manages competing priorities to deliver outcomes on time, and holds a current Class ‘C’ driver’s licence.
