Site Manager (Dog Daycare)

At Kip Hobart, the Site Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the site. This role blends hands-on pet care with strategic leadership, people management, and business operations. You/'ll lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional pet care, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, an drive site growth and success. You/'ll enjoy access to support functions within our Head Office - we/'re here to help you succeed
The ideal candidate will be available to work hours between 6.30am-6.30pm, Monday through Friday (roster will consist of some half days and some full days with a total of 38hrs per week, and can be discussed with shortlisted candidates to determine what will best suit you and the site).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and inspire a high-performing team to provide best-in-class pet care.
- Work in the day-to-day operations of the site - must love dogs
- Manage site operations, including rostering, compliance, and facility upkeep.
- Oversee customer service, ensuring positive experiences and efficient bookings.
- Monitor and drive site financial performance, optimising bookings and profitability.
- Maintain site cleanliness, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Handle pet health concerns, incidents, and ensure clear communication with pet owners.
- Manage social media engagement, showcasing the Kip experience.
Experience & Skills:
- Passionate about pet care, with a hands-on and customer-first approach.
- Proven team leadership experience. Management of site based operations is highly regarded but not essential.
- Previous paid animal care experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Strong communicator with exceptional customer service skills.
- Problem-solver with high attention to detail.
- Organised, proactive, and results-driven.
- Quick learner and a willingness to get your hands dirty with on-the-job experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a cool head under pressure.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software systems with ease.
