Disability Support Worker – Cromer
We’re looking for compassionate Support Workers to work 1:1 with an energetic young man who is preparing to move into his new home. This is a fantastic opportunity to support him through this exciting transition and be part of his next chapter.
Shifts Available
- Monday – Saturday: 6am–10am
- Monday – Friday: 6pm–10pm
(Some flexibility may be required as routines settle after the move.)
About You
You bring experience, empathy, and plenty of heart. You thrive in a dynamic environment and love making a meaningful difference.
What you’ll need:
- Experience in the disability sector (essential)
- Experience supporting adults with disability and challenging behaviours (essential)
- A proactive, resilient, and upbeat attitude
- A gentle nature with excellent listening skills
- NSW Driver’s Licence
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting daily living tasks: cooking, cleaning, laundry, and personal care
- Administering medication and following health plans
- Creating a safe, supportive, and engaging home environment
- Encouraging communication, self-expression, and independence
- Facilitating skill-building and goal-setting activities
- Assisting with appointments, social activities, and outings
- Documenting client progress, incidents, and daily notes
- Collaborating with families, guardians, and health professionals
- Applying Positive Behaviour Support strategies
- Advocating for choice, dignity, and empowerment in every interaction
