What are we looking for?

Our National Abuse team is growing, and we are now seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Wollongong team. This role will offer flexible work arrangements, a 1:1 working partnership supporting a lawyer withina busypractice. You will be integral to supporting and driving the practice from an administration level. Your energy and drive will be integral in achieving successful outcomes along with your positive approach to your work.

A typical day will often look like this:

- Providing a great level of care and support to our clients in a professional manner
- Supporting the team with general file management and administration
- Coordinating appointments for our lawyers, medico-legal appointments for our clients, conferences and mediations
- Communicatingwith clients,insurersand other professionals both in writing and verbally
- Preparing legal correspondence and compiling court documents.

What will you bring?

Ideally you will havepreviousexperience as an assistant, personalassistantor legal secretary, particularlyin the area ofpersonal injury law, together with the following skills and attributes:

- Exceptionalcommunicationand customer serviceskills
- A willingness to learn
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated organisation skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Proactive approach and initiative
- A willingness to learn
- Available to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
