Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.

The Wantirna South Campus is seeking a permanent part-time Secondary Technology Teacher (Digital and Design Technology or Systems Engineering) to commence in January 2026. This role is currently offered at 0.6 FTE, with the possibility of additional classes or responsibilities for candidates seeking a larger load.

In this role you will

In this role, you will:

- Teach engaging Digital and Design Technology electives and/or VCE Systems Engineering in a dynamic and expanding subject area.
- Inspire students to develop creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills through hands-on projects and real-world applications.
- Benefit from full training and professional development, including Safe Use of Machinery certification, DATTA and DLTV memberships, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

We welcome applications from teachers who are eager to explore emerging technologies. Experience with, or a willingness to learn, CAD/CAM (Fusion 360, laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC routing) and Electronics (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, soldering) will be highly regarded.

Qualifications and requirements

The successful applicant must:

- Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Be able to teach Digital Design or Systems Engineering
- Have high level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.
- Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities.
