Fundraising Manager

Launceston, Tasmania, Australia Searson Buck Full time
- Independent and purpose-led Tasmanian health charity
- Drive fundraising campaigns, donor relationships and partnerships
- Collaborative team with flexible, values-driven culture

We're looking for a confident, experienced fundraising professional who knows how to build relationships, design successful campaigns, and generate meaningful revenue. As Fundraising Manager at the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation, you'll take the lead in securing support for critical medical research that improves lives right here in Tasmania.

Reporting to the CEO, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising initiatives that grow donor engagement and drive sustainable income. From coordinating appeals and workplace giving to managing bequests and stewarding major donors, you'll need to be comfortable taking ownership and working with autonomy. This is not a junior role — we need someone who can hit the ground running, think strategically, and juggle multiple priorities with confidence.

To be successful in this role, you'll need a solid background in fundraising or philanthropy, with at least five years of hands-on experience. You'll bring sharp communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a strong track record of delivering results. Familiarity with donor management systems is essential, as is a demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships across individuals, businesses, and community groups. A qualification in fundraising, communications or a related field is preferred, but experience and results matter most.

This is a dynamic, high-trust role in a small, mission-led team. You'll be joining a respected organisation with a clear purpose — to back the Tasmanian researchers, clinicians and health professionals who are driving real progress in local healthcare. While most of the role is office-based during business hours, some after-hours work will be needed for events and community activities.

If this sounds like the right next step in your fundraising career, we'd love to hear from you. For a confidential conversation, please contact Donald Coventry at Searson Buck on 0426240227 or via email at donald.coventry@searsonbuck.com.au.
