ACC Benalla is located at Benalla (2hrs north of Melbourne) and is a P-10, co-ed, Christian school. Secondary year groups are being added each year until P-12 is catered for by 2026. Core Responsibilities & Duties

- Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study.

- Have the content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all students.

- Demonstrate a commitment to improving professional practice through coaching and professional development.

- Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards.

- Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school.

- Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct.

- Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues.

- Ensure students' views are taken seriously and their voices are heard.

- Model and promote the vision and values of the school.

- Teach an area of the curriculum to senior year levels.

- Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress.

- Implement effective student management consistent with the school's strategic plan.

- Attend and participate in staff meetings as required.

- Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.

This full-time VCE English position is due to start January 2025. The ability to teach other methods is desirable.

About You

We are seeking a committed Christian educator with experience in teaching VCE English.

Qualifications

- Evidence of the right to work in Australia.

- Proof of identity.

- Recognised teaching qualification.

- Clearance status of the Working with Children Check (where applicable).

- Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

- Statements of service from previous child-connected roles.

- References from previous child-connected roles.

You will:

- Be a committed Christian, comfortable with sharing your faith.

- Be committed to improving student academic outcomes.

- Have high expectations for what students are capable of, both academically and behaviourally.

- Relate well to staff, students and parents, inspiring and managing students.

- Have a servant heart.

- Have demonstrated excellent organisational skills.

- Have experience in Years 10-12.
