At Rural Developments Pty Ltd (trading as Leeuwin Estate) we are looking for a full-time skilled Chemistry Laboratory Technician to perform the following duties:

Responsibilities:

• Gathering and organizing diverse data sets and physical samples.

• Creating experimental setups and customizing devices while ensuring compliance with standards.

• Perform wine analysis including enzymatic tests, ferment tracking, and juice/wine assessments.

• Prepare and standardise reagents and standard solutions for laboratory use.

• Maintaining, adjusting, and verifying the accuracy of testing instruments.

• Perform mathematical computations and measurements related to chemical analysis.

• Designing science presentations and experimental demonstrations and documenting findings through visual aids like charts and diagrams.

• Handling and managing laboratory supplies, conducting sample tests, and observing usage reports.

• Executing scientific analyses in varied environments to validate hypotheses.

• Conduct laboratory experiments, tests, and chemical analyses as required by the winemaking team.

• Record all analytical data and maintain clear, organised lab records.

• Monitor, test, and control the quality and quantity of laboratory supplies, cellar stock, and additives.

• Calibrate, check, and maintain lab testing equipment and ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

• The right candidate will have at least 3 years of experience

• Relevant higher qualification

• Strong work ethic and

• The mindset to employ safe working practices at all time

• A can-do attitude and ability of working independently.

Position: Full Time (at least 38 hours per week)
Salary: $70,000 – 90,000 per year
Location: Witchcliffe, Western Australia 6286
