We’re hiring a contractor for a 3-month Assistant Accountant role, paying up to $400/day including super. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative financial control team in a large, fast-paced organisation and expand your finance experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Reconcile bank receipts and payments, investigate discrepancies
- Prepare journals including accruals, prepayments, tax, and other entries
- Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with monthly regulatory returns including BAS and payroll tax

What We’re Looking For

- 2+ years’ experience in finance or accounting within a large organisation
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger processes
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving
- Confident communicator who works well independently and in a team
- Experience with ERP systems and regulatory reporting is a plus
