About the role

Join our Funds Super & Financial Services (FSF) team in Sydney, collaborating with lawyers in Melbourne and across our offices. You will work closely with Partners and the team, gaining exposure to complex superannuation and financial services regulatory work. We support our lawyers in finding their niche and developing broad expertise.

Our clients include Australia's leading superannuation funds, wealth platforms, insurers, banks, and financial service providers. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with regulatory and transformation projects
- Responding to investigations and prosecutions by authorities like APRA and ASIC
- Advising on superannuation fund mergers
- Collaborating with our M&A team on financial transactions
- Providing guidance on regulatory obligations such as licensing and disclosure
- Negotiating commercial agreements, including outsourcing and distribution

This is a permanent, full-time role. We offer flexible working arrangements to suit your needs.

About you

You should have:

- Experience advising superannuation or financial services clients on regulatory matters (e.g., SIS Act, APRA standards, Corporations Act, ASIC Act)
- Private practice or in-house experience in superannuation/financial services law
- A desire to specialize in this area
- Strong academic record, legal analysis, writing, and communication skills
- Motivation to learn, grow, and mentor others
