Overview

Are you detail-oriented, reliable, and ready to make a real impact on major infrastructure projects? Protech seeking a proactive Road Maintenance Labourer / QA to join our highly reputable clients dynamic team, and help ensure the highest standards across asphalt delivery and civil works.
You do not need to have a background in Quality Assurance as training will be provided, on the job.

Road Maintenance Labourer / QA – Asphalt Projects
📍 Location: Townsville
💼 Industry: Civil Construction / Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor asphalt delivery (tipping trucks) and accurately record volumes, timings, and material checks.
- Complete all required on-site documentation including quality records, test logs, and compliance paperwork.
- Verify materials, processes, and workmanship against project and client specifications.
- Assist in tracking production, delivery, and lay down performance for reporting.
- Provide hands-on support with general labouring tasks when required.

Skills & Requirements

- Training will be provided on the job.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor setting.
- Physically capable of performing manual labour when needed.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with site paperwork systems.
- Must be good at estimating loads of Road Base materials; Sand, Gravel, Asphalt, Aggregate.
- Previous experience in asphalt, civil construction, or quality assurance is advantageous but not essential.
