The Opportunity

At Infinite Care, we pride ourselves on providing industry leading resident care and services which encourages and enables residents to remain independent with all employees working in our safety-first workplace. Our Personal Carer & Engagement Worker (PCEWs) or Lifestyle Assistants are highly interactive supporting our elderly residents, their families and colleagues 7 days a week across AM, PM and Nightshifts. This role is based at Edge Hill in Cairns and involves working closely with the nursing and resident engagement teams when performing resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner, surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers.

About You

We hire for heart. Our best people are highly empathic, show a strong work ethic and are passionate about making a difference to the elderly. Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year and can think on your feet, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also:

- Qualifications in Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) are desirable but not essential; given the role involves resident lifestyle activities, Certificate IV in Leisure and Health is also eligible.
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance is essential to work in the Aged Care sector (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent safety awareness to prevent residents from tripping, falling or hurting themselves.
- Very positive teamwork attitude, a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (shift driven workplace including handovers) and strict safety procedures to maintain a high standard of safety.
- A passion for choosing a career where you can make a difference and willingness to help the company deliver quality of care services every day.
- Display a positive, confident personality to engage residents in lifestyle and group activities.

We accept the Ausmed Passport, a free digital certificate for the Australian aged care workforce recognizing completion of core mandatory training topics.

Our care roles are busy, including bending, lifting, pushing and squatting to perform duties safely. All candidates will be required to complete an online medical assessment to maintain personal and workplace safety standards.
