About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Technician to join our team.

Reporting to the Geotechnical Engineering Lead, your primary responsibilities will include:

Monitoring instrumentation installation, maintenance, and data interpretation including:

- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development.
- Deployment of slope stability radars and troubleshooting issues.
- Installation and data collection of prism and total station data.
- Piloting unmanned aircraft (drones) for aerial images.
- Systems development and implementation.
- Heritage cave inspections.

About You

About You

You will have the skills to focus on the quality control and data collection of slope stability monitoring, working closely with the Geotechnical Engineers to manage the risk mitigation implementation strategy.

What Makes a Successful Candidate?

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

- You are receptive to new ideas and challenges to optimize process for safety and value and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and collaborative approach to working
- Proficient computer and data management skills
- Knowledge using radars (preferably IDS) and total stations for slope monitoring
- Open Pit mining experience advantageous
- First Aid Certification advantageous
- UAV licence advantageous

Roster and Location

The role is FIFO from Perth (Wed-Wed) on an 8/6 day shift only roster to the Pilbara, WA. Working shift is 12 hours/day
