The Role:
Locations: North West Regional Hospital, Mersey Community Hospital, Devonport Community and Health Services Centre
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our rotational team, working across three diverse healthcare sites in North West Tasmania. This is an excellent opportunity for early‑career clinicians to gain broad experience and develop core competencies in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the Role:
As a Rotational Physiotherapist, you will undertake 4‑month rotations across key clinical areas, including:
- Medical and ICU Wards
- Surgical Ward
- Inpatient Rehabilitation
You will work closely with experienced physiotherapists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care. Each rotation is designed to build clinical confidence, foster professional growth, and support your transition into a well‑rounded physiotherapy career.

Who We’re Looking For:
- AHPRA‑registered Physiotherapist (or eligible for registration)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous learning
- Ability to work effectively within a team

- Build clinical skills across Outpatients, Medical/ICU, Surgical, and Rehab settings
- Work across three diverse sites: NWRH, MCH & DCHSC

Details of appointment:
Fixed‑term full‑time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight. Term: 5 January 2026 to 5 January 2027 (hours negotiable).
For a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‑time, part‑time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$73,834 to $111,364 per annum (pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Current driver's licence (desirable)
