Head of Arts

Overview

We are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated and innovative leader to join the Austin CoveBaptist College Secondary School community. The position is full-time, commencing Term 1, 2026.

The ideal candidate will be dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative in their approach to delivering the curriculum as well as having the ability to work collaboratively with the whole school community. They will have extensive experience teaching in Arts subjects. Experience in Visual Arts would be highly regarded but is not essential.

The successful candidate will also have a strong work ethic, friendly nature and be a conscientious, committed Christian.

College

Austin Cove Baptist College of South Yunderup is a co-educational College that commenced in 2011 and currently has approximately 780 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College is situated in the Austin Lakes development just east of Mandurah and provides a high standard of education within a Christian context. Selection Criteria

- To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ including regular church attendance and a lifestyle consistent with the expectations of Christian faith.
- Be a qualified teacher registered with the TRBWA and hold a Working With Children Check

- Be highly motivated and organised
- Have demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum requirements set by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority
- Be an inspiring leader able to initiate and manage change.
- Have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing programs from Year 7-12
- Have a record of achievement as an educational leader
- Be an able administrator with the capacity to think strategically, consult, plan and delegate
- Be approachable, a good listener and an effective communicator
- Have a commitment to pastoral care and extracurricular activities
