Our Barista / Cafe Allrounder creates a friendly and customer service-oriented environment where residents and their families can socialize over a hot or cold beverage or snack. Typical responsibilities include:

- Welcoming all customers with a warm, friendly, and helpful personality and attitude.
- Serving a range of snacks, including hot and cold sandwiches, cakes, muffins, etc.
- Preparing and serving hot and cold (non-alcoholic) beverages — it is essential to have a barista certificate and make great coffees
- Cleaning the kitchen, service areas, and dining area around the coffee shop.
- Following and executing daily, weekly, and monthly procedures to maintain high-quality cafe operations.
- Working with the Chef Manager to discuss supply needs for the cafe.
- Ensuring the cafe area is free of hazards, trips, slips, or other safety issues.
- Maintaining a professional, respectful, and inviting cafe environment that reflects positively on our company.
- Providing backup support in dining room service when required.

This role is physical, requiring bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing items to perform daily tasks safely. It is important that you can perform these tasks without risking injury to yourself, colleagues, or residents.

About You

At Infinite Aged Care, we value attitude and aptitude; experience in aged care is not necessary. Formal qualifications like a Cert II in Hospitality are highly regarded, but a friendly disposition, willingness to help, and experience in customer service or hospitality (retail, coffee shop, bar, restaurant) are more important.

Additionally, you must have:

- Demonstrated barista and cafe hospitality experience with a passion for friendly customer service.
- A strong safety attitude and vigilance in hazard removal.
- The ability to work independently, be a self-starter, confident, and communicate well, especially with kitchen staff.
- Problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to perform at a high standard.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make people feel welcome.
- Hardworking, flexible, and available to cover shifts.
