The RTO Compliance Officer supports the RTO Manager and Executive Manager Workforce Development and Training to ensure AHCWA’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) meets all requirements, maintains audit readiness, and operates in accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2025 (Standards for RTOs 2025).

This newly created role exists due to new National Skills Agreement (NSA) program funding and plays a central part in building the foundations of a high-performing, culturally grounded RTO that strengthens the capability and training pathways of the WA Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) sector.

This role will:

- Support the RTO Manager to maintain full compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2025;

- Develop, review and maintain Training and Assessment Strategies, assessment tools, learning resources and compliance documentation;

- Assist with validation, moderation, version control, training product currency and continuous improvement processes;

- Contribute to internal audit preparation, evidence collection, file reviews and rectification tasks;

- Maintain accurate student records, training data, reporting and RTO registers;

- Prepare compliance reports, evidence tables and documentation for Training Accreditation Council (TAC), funding bodies and internal stakeholders;

- Support training operations, including scheduling, logistics, administration and learner support; and

- Build effective relationships across Member Services, training providers, TAC, Aboriginal Community Controlled (ACC) and First Nations Owned (FNO) RTOs and the broader Workforce Development and Training Work Group.

About You

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- Experience in RTO compliance, administration or VET sector operations;

- A strong understanding of the Standards for RTOs 2025;

- Experience supporting audits, validation or assessment processes;

- Ability to maintain accurate compliance systems, records and documentation;

- High-level organisation, attention to detail and time-management capability;

- Strong written communication skills and confidence in developing compliance documentation;

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;

- IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and student management systems;

- Ability to build and sustain stakeholder relationships across government, RTOs, education and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs); and

- Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Ideally

In addition to the above, we are looking for someone who:

- Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by their community; and

- Has experience with Moodle (Lingel Learning) and/or Wisenet SMS.

The position involves working within a multicultural organisation where the majority of employees, clients and stakeholders identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Please note: In addition to the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will require an unrestricted WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence, and be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) prior to appointment.
