Overview

Water Corporation Perth Region Field Services - Construction Delivery team have a permanent opportunity based in Canning Vale for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, fault finding, repair and commissioning of all Water Corporation's assets across the Perth Metro Region and across various regional areas of our state.

Role responsibilities

- Installation of new Electrical switchboards, PLC's, communication systems, Soft Starters, VSD's, motors, cabling and associated electrical and instrumentation components in Water / Wastewater and Drainage systems.
- Undertakes isolations and shutdowns on electrical plant and equipment.
- Carry out all tasks on Electrical, PLC, SCADA, instrumentation and communication systems.
- Executes advanced fault finding on Electrical, PLC, SCADA, instrumentation and communication systems.
- Complex problem solving of Water / Wastewater systems.
- Occasional regional work (FIFO or DIDO) depending on project location and requirements. You will be required to work away approximately once in every 4-6 weeks. This is not a FIFO role and are expected to work in Perth Metro when not working in the regions. Overtime and allowances will be given for regional works.

Key skills and experience

- Electrical Trade Certificate
- Instrumentation Certificate IV
- Construction background or experience is desirable, not essential
- High Voltage Certificate desirable, not essential
- EWP high risk license is desirable, not essential
- WA C Class Drivers Licence (HR highly regarded)
- Knowledge of Confined Space entry requirements and Working at Heights
