Welcome Aboard Who We Are SmartLynx Australia (formerly Skytrans), an Australian passenger airline and part of Avia Solutions Group, operates 13 regional aircraft specialising in Regular Public Transport (RPT), charter, and ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance) services across the Asia-Pacific. As the Group’s first ACMI provider in Australia, SmartLynx Australia is supported by the world’s largest ACMI fleet of 221 aircraft and 14,000 aviation professionals worldwide. SmartLynx Australia has taken over the route between Sydney and Lord Howe Island. As part of this expansion, we are seeking additional Dash 8 Captain to staff our base in Sydney Airport. This is a unique opportunity to fly to one of Australia's most stunning and challenging destinations – Lord Howe Island – renowned for its natural beauty, short runway operations, and technically rewarding flights. Who You Are As part of our Flight Crew team, you will join a motivated and safety-focused group of professionals committed to maintaining high operational standards. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a disciplined and fast-paced flight environment, bringing a proactive and industrious attitude to this newly established RPT service. Please be advised that this Captain role is for the Dash 8 only and is not linked to our Airbus operations. Requirements - Australian ATPL (A) - 3000 hours total flight time - 1500 hours as pilot in command of multi-engine aircraft - 500 hours in command of Turboprop or Jet aircraft with a maximum Take off weight > 13000kg - Type Rating (DHC8) desirable - CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate - English Language Proficiency Level 6 - Australian Multi-Engine Instrument Rating with IAP2D and IAP3D - The ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) What We Offer - Permanent, full-time role based at Sydney Airport - Car park or public transport allowance - Scenic and technically rewarding flights to the iconic Lord Howe Island - Inclusive, supportive team culture - Join a fast-growing airline within Avia Solutions Group, global expert in aviation services - Ongoing training & career progression How to Apply: If you have the skills and attributes, we are looking for (or thereabouts) we'd love to hear from you.
