Overview

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services. With clinical coding being the primary role of the successful applicant, they will have a well-developed knowledge of ICD-10-AM and the Australian Coding Standards. NHW uses a fully interfaced 3M Codefinder software alongside other clinical information systems. There is also a comprehensive auditing program which the applicant will be an integral part of.

This role also assists when required with the operational management of Health Information Services through staff management, coordination and implementation of new and updated procedures for patient information management.

Responsibilities

- Primary responsibility for clinical coding with knowledge of ICD-10-AM and Australian Coding Standards.
- Work within NHW/u2019s 3M Codefinder software and other clinical information systems.
- Participate in a comprehensive auditing program as an integral part of the role.
- Assist with the operational management of Health Information Services through staff management, coordination, and implementation of new and updated procedures for patient information management.
