Salary: $76,000 - $80,000 per year + Superannuation

Position: Permanent, Full-time (38 hours per week)

Skills and Attributes

- Strong understanding of metalworking techniques, including the ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.

- Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work precisely and efficiently.

- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality in all aspects of work.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

- Physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

Fabricates and repairs metal products using various welding techniques.

- Interpreting drawings, specifications, and welding procedures to determine job requirements.

- Preparing materials by cutting, shaping, and fitting components prior to welding.

- Performing welding using methods like MIG, TIG, and arc welding.

- Operating and maintaining welding equipment, tools, and machinery safely and efficiently.

- Inspecting and testing completed welds to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.

- Aligning and clamping workpieces together before welding.

- Cleaning, polishing, and finishing welded surfaces.

- Repairing worn or damaged metal components through welding or fabrication.

Qualifications

- AQF Certificate III (including at least two years of on-the-job training)

- AQF Certificate IV

Experience

- At least 3 years of relevant experience

- Experience with various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, etc.) and familiarity with metal cutting and shaping equipment.

Benefits

- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $76,000 - $80,000 per year + Superannuation.
