The Role
Reporting to the Clubhouse Operations Manager you will be responsible for undertaking all public area, housekeeping, event set‑up and pack‑down and stores duties in an efficient and professional manner.
This is a part‑time role offering 20–25 hours per week, requiring availability to work shifts during the week and on weekends between 6am starts to 2:00pm finishes.
Key Tasks
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene across guest rooms and public areas.
- Clean public areas including the lobby, lifts, stairways, and toilets.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support the events team with setup, bump‑in/bump‑out, and pack‑down of functions.
- Deliver linen, towels, and rollaway beds to rooms as needed.
- Ensure timely ordering and proper storage of stock in designated areas and keep stock and storage areas secure.
- Rotate perishable stock to prevent waste, distribute stock as per requisitions or approved orders, and place orders with suppliers promptly to maintain inventory levels.
- Ensure safe delivery of stock; report any damage or losses to the Clubhouse Operations Manager.
- Assist in managing the garbage room and maintain the loading dock per Club protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a housekeeping, cleaning or other similar role gained within a quality hotel environment is essential.
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
- Self‑motivated and enthusiastic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Organized and able to meet deadlines.
- Experience with use of chemical and commercial cleaning equipment.
