We’re excited to welcome an experienced and compassionateOccupational Therapist to our team atMcNamara Lodge in Meadow Springs. In this role,you’ll make a meaningful difference every day by supportingresidents’ physical and psycho-social wellbeing throughpersonalised therapy programs. Workinghand–in–hand with our AlliedHealth and Clinical teams, you’ll help create a supportiveenvironment where residents feel valued, respected, and truly athome.

This role as an Occupational Therapist will seeyou:

- Develop meaningful relationships with residents ensuringtheir needs, interests, routines and preferences arerespected.
- Assess the physical and psycho-social functioning ofresidents.
- Plan and implement appropriate treatment and activityprograms taking into account resident preferences, medicalrequirements, input from other health professionals and servicepolicy and procedures.
- Identify, document and report on resident wellbeing and anychange in status ensuring the electronic healthcare managementsystem is updated.
- Monitor equipment and ensure that necessary repairs andmaintenance are carried out.
- Assist in the implementation of therapy programs includinggroup and individual activities.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and volunteerswho are assisting with the program.
- Assist in the education and training of all staff in safemanual handling techniques.
- Communicate with Allied Health and Clinical teams on theoutcome of programs for the residents.

The beautifully refurbished 96-bed Residential Care Centreoffers both permanent and respite care along with comprehensiveactivity programs to ensure our residents keep their bodies andminds active day-to-day. Located in the heart of the RAAFAretirement village in the southern suburb of Meadow Springs,Mandurah, our homely bedrooms have direct access to landscapedgardens and pathways where you can take a stroll, relax, and enjoythe fresh air.

About you:

- Possess a Bachelor's or Masters in OccupationalTherapy.
- Current AHPRA Registration.
- Previous experience working in Residential Aged Care.
- Ability to work autonomously and with a multidisciplinaryteam.
- Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to relate to the elderly with empathy andunderstand their needs.
- Demonstrate flexible decision making and advancedproblem‑solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills toeffectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
- Enjoy building positive relationships with residents, theirfamilies and staff.
