About the role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Medical Courier(s) to join our Courier team. In this frontline role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of pathology specimens, reports and mail across the Adelaide metropolitan and outer metropolitan areas. Your duties will include visiting hospitals, GP surgeries and pathology laboratories, ensuring all materials are handled with care and in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

As the face of SA Pathology to many of our clients, you’ll contribute to strong client relationships through professionalism, punctuality and a positive attitude. This is more than a courier role — it’s an opportunity to support the smooth operation of a key healthcare service and help ensure the best possible outcomes for patients and clinicians alike.

About you

You’re dependable and courteous with a strong focus on customer service and safety. You take pride in representing your team, working efficiently and making a positive impact in a fast-paced healthcare environment. To thrive in this role, you will have:

- You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with clients and the public.
- Strong time management and navigation skills, including the use of technology to follow and adapt run schedules.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good judgement and discretion.
- A solid driving record, relevant courier or medical transport experience, and good knowledge of the Adelaide metropolitan and outer metro areas.

Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) is a public healthcare organisation serving health consumers and providing specialist clinical services to the health system in South Australia. SCSS encompasses BreastScreen SA, SA Dental, SA Medical Imaging, SA Pathology, and SA Pharmacy.
