The Role

- Deliver structural design solutions across a range of building types, from private residences to larger developments
- Collaborate closely with architects, builders, and clients to ensure practical, cost-effective outcomes
- Apply expertise in steel systems and lightweight construction methods to modern building designs
- Conduct structural assessments and prepare detailed engineering reports and documentation
- Manage multiple projects at varying stages, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
- Stay current with relevant codes, regulations, and industry practices
- Use structural analysis and drafting software to develop accurate, buildable solutions
- Perform site inspections and liaise with contractors during construction phases
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment that values innovation and technical excellence
- Support junior engineers and drafters through mentorship and technical guidance

About you

- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited institution
- Up to 5 years of experience in structural design within consulting or construction environments
- Genuine enthusiasm for developing a career in consulting engineering
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as Microstran or SpaceGass
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and models accurately
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
