Overview

Expressions of Interest are now open for SEAWAY’s Operational Cadetship Program. Suitable for school leavers or candidates seeking a career change.

The Program

The SEAWAY Cadetship Program is a two-year introductory training program that equips you with the fundamental skills and hands-on experience to develop a long-term operational career in the warehouse logistics industry. Throughout the program you will obtain a forklift licence and learn the key functions of our 3PL warehousing, cool room and airside facilities across several internal SEAWAY Group departments, spanning various areas of the supply chain. Additional upskilling and training opportunities will be offered, subject to availability. Upon successful completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent position within the SEAWAY Group.

Location & Working Hours

This is a full-time opportunity with varied start and finish times, averaging 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This is an onsite position and will be based at one of our SEAWAY warehouse locations (further details to be discussed at interview stage).

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Cadetship Program, we are looking for someone who possesses:

- A passion/interest in the logistics & supply chain industry
- Current Driver’s Licence and own car
- Reliability – punctual attendance and full participation in all training
- A willingness to learn and give it a go
- A Safety-first mindset
- Basic physical fitness for manual lifting requirements; role will require some manual handling and you will be required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

Additionally, to be considered for this role you will need full working rights in Australia and the ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), which requires a national police check.
