We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Platform Engineer to join a leading enterprise team on a transformative cloud program. This 12-month contract offers an exciting opportunity to work at scale, designing and delivering secure, self-service cloud platform capabilities for internal development teams.

As part of a high-performing Platform Engineering team, you will contribute to the design and implementation of reusable, standardized patterns across a modern Azure-based ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and deliver scalable, multi-tenant Azure platform solutions using infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines

- Build and maintain Cloud Landing Zones and reusable artifacts to enable secure, automated self-service for developer teams

- Deliver secure-by-design capabilities in collaboration with cybersecurity stakeholders, applying DevSecOps practices

- Work closely with engineering teams to support containerized workloads on AKS / Kubernetes

- Embed Agile methodologies and participate in cross-functional delivery squads

- Ensure platform reliability, security, and operational readiness through automation and observability best practices

Essential Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps

- Proficiency in Terraform and other IaC tools for cloud provisioning

- Demonstrated success in building and supporting multi-tenant cloud platforms

- Experience designing standardized cloud patterns and developer self-service frameworks

- Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and managing workloads at scale

- Solid understanding of cloud security, DevSecOps, and compliance practices

- Previous experience working in Agile teams

Highly Regarded

- Prior exposure to Cloud Landing Zones and enterprise platform delivery

- Experience with platform engineering frameworks and tools

- Certifications in Azure or relevant cloud technologies
