Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is currently recruiting to casual Undergraduate Assistant in Nursing positions.
Are you currently completing your first or second year of a Bachelor of Nursing degree and can provide evidence of successful completion of two semesters of university?
Do you currently hold valid Australian work rights?
Have you completed a clinical placement in an acute hospital setting and want to gain valuable experience working in acute care before you graduate?
Are you an enthusiastic and motivated individual who would like to join our team of over 5,000 nurses and midwives working in SLHD?

About Us
Sydney Local Health District is centrally located in Sydney, covering the city’s centre and inner west. The District encompasses parts or all of the following Local Government Areas: City of Sydney, Inner West Council, Canterbury-Bankstown, Canada Bay, Burwood, and Strathfield. SLHD spans a geographic area of approximately 126 square kilometres, serving a diverse and vibrant community.
The role of the AIN works within a nursing plan of care under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and within the limits of the AIN position description and local policy and protocol.
We are looking for casual Undergraduate Assistants in Nursing who are able to work at least one shift per week in Sydney Local Health District facilities including:
- Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
- Concord Hospital
- Canterbury Hospital
- Mental Health Services
