About The Role

Whitehaven Coal is seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Officer to join our Friendly finance team, based in our Brisbane CBD Office. The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial operations. The AP Officer will process invoices, verify and reconcile financial data, and assist with maintaining vendor relationships. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of the organisation’s accounting operations.

What You’ll Do

- Effectively execute processing of invoices
- Prepare and process electronic transfers, and other forms of payments.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any payment-related issues.
- Assist in generating monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to accounts payable
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing and improving accounts payable processes.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team

What You’ll Bring

- Minimum 3 years in an accounts payable role
- Experience with SAP S4 Hana, Business Network (Ariba) and ERS (RTCI) & Concur (highly regarded)
- Honesty and integrity
- Dynamic, driven, energetic and a positive attitude
- Displays a “growth mindset” and has a strong desire to learn and improve
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various work streams.
