About the Role
Exciting opportunities exist for three Radiation Oncology Medical Physics TEAP Registrars to join Icon Cancer Centres. You’ll be supported by our highly experienced network of medical physicists across Australia, with your primary base at one of our Icon Cancer Centre sites in Melbourne (Richmond & Freemasons), Brisbane (Redland & North Lakes) or Gold Coast (Gold Coast University Hospital).

Icon’s Medical Physics team operates nationally and has a strong track record in TEAP registrar training. Icon Cancer Centres Richmond & Freemasons equipment includes three Varian linear accelerators, Varian Identify SGRT, Womed superficial x-ray unit, HDR and LDR brachytherapy. Icon Cancer Centres at Redland and North Lakes includes three Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerators with Varian Identify SGRT and Siemens Biograph CT scanner. Icon Cancer Centre Gold Coast University Hospital includes two Varian TrueBeam linear Accelerators with AlignRT SGRT, a single Elekta Versa HD Linear accelerator and Siemens Go.Open Pro CT scanner.
About You
You’ll enrol in and work towards completing the ACPSEM ROMP TEAP program, meeting milestones within a defined schedule. Alongside TEAP tasks, you’ll contribute to supervised medical physics work and participate in research and development projects. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment are essential. A willingness to travel is required for mandatory interstate training.
Essential Criteria
- Eligible for enrolment in the ACPSEM TEAP program and placement in Commonwealth-funded registrar positions
- Completion of an ACPSEM accredited postgraduate degree in Medical Physics
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Self-motivated and capable of independent work with excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Current driver’s licence.
