What you’ll do
As the Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional communications environment for our business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the delivery of work tasks to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Support team members to ensure collaboration and successful results.
- Coordinate effectively with stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and external service providers.
- Provide timely, quality support and solutions for incidents or issues reported by users.
- Ensure systems and network services meet business requirements and operate efficiently.
- Supervise hardware and software installation while maintaining data security and performance monitoring.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network design, cybersecurity, wireless technologies, and cloud-based solutions. With tertiary IT qualifications, advanced Cisco certifications, and extensive experience in enterprise-level networks, the candidate should demonstrate expertise in high-availability systems, disaster recovery, and complex troubleshooting. A thorough understanding of security concepts, VoIP, LTE networks, and advanced wireless technologies is essential for success in this role.
Key Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of IP protocols, VPN technologies (MPLS, Internet), hierarchical network designs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
- Proficiency with firewall technologies (Cisco Pix/ASA, Checkpoint, Palo Alto), wireless security standards, and 802.1x authentication.
- Expert-level knowledge of wireless standards, RF, spectrum analysis, and wireless mesh networks.
- Experience working with cloud-based applications and designing enterprise-level networks.
- Strong understanding of VoIP, LTE networks, Cisco ISE, and cabling methods.
- Proven hands-on experience with Cisco technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless) and network troubleshooting.
