We are seeking an experienced and skilled Painter to join our team. This is an opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial projects across Sydney, delivering high-quality finishes while working with premium materials and a supportive team committed to excellence.

Task & Responsibilities

Duties

- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by removing old paint, repairing cracks and holes, sanding, and cleaning.

- Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.

- Apply primers, undercoats, finishing coats, and decorative finishes including wallpapering and feature walls.

- Perform minor timber and surface repairs prior to painting.

- Apply protective and weather-resistant coatings to exterior surfaces.

- Erect and use scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment in accordance with WHS standards.

- Inspect and touch up completed work to ensure a high-quality finish.

- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in safe and clean condition.

Responsibilities

- Complete all painting and decorating works to company and industry standards.

- Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations, ensuring safe handling of tools, equipment, and hazardous substances.

- Maintain effective communication with clients, supervisors, and team members.

- Ensure projects are completed on time and to client satisfaction.

- Support HD Décor’s reputation for quality workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent. At least three (3) years of relevant work experience may substitute formal qualifications.

Experience

- Minimum one (1) year of full-time professional experience as a painter or painting trades worker.

- Experience in decorative finishes, wallpapering, and protective coatings highly regarded.

- Physically fit to perform manual work and operate safely at heights.

- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to deliver consistent high-quality finishes.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines.
