About CatholicCare NT and the Program
The Crerar Road accommodation site provides predominantly an Indigenous accommodation service, comprising a 190-bed shared hostel accommodation over two adjacent properties. The Crerar Road accommodation site provides a home away from home experience to our participants who come to town for medical appointments, shopping, catch up with family or sporting events. In addition to this we provide renal, and Homeless accommodation. CatholicCare NT operates the Crerar Road Accommodation site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
About the Role
Join us as our After Hours Site Security & Support Officer responsible for the safety, security, and smooth operation of our site which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Be the trusted presence that keeps our operations running smoothly and ensures a welcoming and safe environment.
What we are looking for
- Security Licence and Cert II in Security Operations (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid Certificate / Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working in a relevant environment, preferably in a shift based role
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours and resolve conflict calmly and professionally, especially under pressure
- Knowledge of work health and safety practices including incident reports
- High level of interpersonal, communication skills and cultural sensitivity
