Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a significant fund transition program.

About the Role:

In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of a complex superannuation transition, including Successor Fund Transfer (SFT) activities, ensuring full compliance with regulatory obligations and the seamless integration of systems, processes, and member services.

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate an internal team of dedicated resources alongside external vendors, administrators, and service providers. They will be the key representative of the organisation throughout the program, ensuring all milestones are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.

Duration: 9 months

location: Melbourne or Sydney (remote work option is available)

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale superannuation transition, including SFT planning, execution, and post-implementation review.
- Manage and direct an internal project team, allocating resources, setting priorities, and ensuring accountability for deliverables.
- Act as the primary liaison with internal executives, trustees, service providers, regulators, and other external partners.
- Ensure governance and compliance with APRA, ASIC, and relevant legislative requirements.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate operational readiness for member communications, investment transfers, administration systems, and process integration.
- Lead vendor engagement and manage contractual obligations to ensure service quality and delivery outcomes.
- Provide detailed reporting to steering committees, senior leadership, and boards, supported by robust documentation.

- Proven experience delivering superannuation fund transitions and SFTs in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of superannuation legislation, operations, and industry best practice.
- Demonstrated success in leading internal teams and coordinating multi-stream programs involving systems, investments, and member services.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills at executive and board level.
- Strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
- Relevant project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) highly regarded.
