If you have a strong passion for food and eagerness to grow your skills as a Chef, MRAEL have multiple positions avilable for the following locations:

- 7 Alfred - Tucked into the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, 7 Alfred is a new steak-frites restaurant built around a singular, confident idea: one exceptional dish, done superbly.

- Rockpool Bar and Grill - Rockpool Bar & Grill Melbourne was inspired by the great steakhouses of North America. With a focus on excellent produce, especially the meat program, their beef is sourced from Australia’s best producers, complemented by an outstanding wine list and attentive service for a refined dining experience.

- Sake -Located just below the iconic Art Centre Melbourne with a tranquil setting overlooking the Yarra river and Melbourne skyline, Saké Restaurant & Bar Hamer Hall straddles two, light-flooded levels and an unrivalled, heated, river-side terrace.

What’s involved

As an Apprentice Chef, you will learn alongside qualified Chefs in all aspects of food preparation and presentation. Working with us allows you to learn and build experiences from skilled professionals within a commercial kitchen environment. You will be working at our great host venue; Rockpool Bar and Grill in Southbank, VIC working with large quantities of food and a variety of seasonal ingredients. Key activities you can expect will be:

- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of dishes

- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, choppers, fryers, steamers under supervision

- Learn different knife and cooking techniques

- Clean, maintain and store kitchen equipment appropriately

To suit this role, you will be an eager and motivated individual with a passion for food looking to kick‑start your culinary career You will have good communication skills, seek out opportunities to learn and show initiative in your everyday duties.

- Australian Citizenship

- Australian Permanent Residency

- New Zealand Passport Holder residing in Australia for more than six months
