The Facility:
Our client is a state-of-the-art leading accredited regional hospital based in a university town and is a major training facility delivering a service to over 230,000 people.
The hospital offers a range of acute and sub-acute services. The Victorian State Government has announced a major redevelopment to be completed in the next few years.
This will encompass a new emergency department, an acute mental health facility, an intensive care unit, a women's and children's hub, an expanded critical care and at least 100 additional beds. These departments will be fitted out with the latest cutting-edge equipment and technology and will bring together new operating theatres, procedure rooms, endoscopy suites, consulting rooms, and high dependency care – delivering an additional 4,000 surgeries annually.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the ED Director you will be responsible for the assessment and management of acute patients with the ED. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the ED Director who will assist and support you to develop your overall emergency medicine expertise.
The Requirements:
You must have a minimum of 2 years recent emergency medicine experience and hold General or Provisional registration with AHPRA.
