Overview

A temporary full time parental leave replacement position commencing 27 January 2026 until 10 August 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach subjects within the TAS &, if qualified, VET Faculties.

The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students to reach their full potential.

Essential Selection Criteria

- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in various TAS subjects across all stages.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider school community.

Desirable Selection Criteria

- Aptitude and willingness to contribute to the broader life of Magdalene Catholic College whilst supporting the TAS Faculty and what it offers the College.
- Qualified and enthusiastic to teach various TAS subjects e.g. Stage 4 Technology Mandatory, Stage 5 Industrial Technology Timber, ability to deliver Certificate II Cookery.

General Capabilities

- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organisational skills

Qualifications

- Appropriate qualifications for teaching a variety of courses across the TAS & VET Faculties.
- Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.

Working With Children Clearance

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
