Exercise Physiologist – Experienced or New Grad - Townsville, Queensland.

Position Description:
Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement exercise programs aimed at preventing and managing chronic diseases and injuries, and restoring optimal physical function, health, and wellness for clients.

Core duties will include but will not be limited to:

- Screen and risk-stratify clients for safe and appropriate exercise interventions

- Assess movement capacity across all ages and health levels

- Run established group classes (falls prevention, cardiac, pulmonary health)

- Design safe, individualised exercise programs

- Provide health education, advice, and support

- Deliver interventions for those at risk of chronic conditions or injury

- Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders

This role includes outreach travel with occasional overnight stays to surrounding communities. All work-related travel expenses are subsidised.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology

- Current or eligible registration with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)

- Current unrestricted C-class Australian driver's licence

- Combined Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening (or eligibility)

- Australian work rights

- Queensland Health credentialing (desirable)

- Strong communication skills, MS Office literacy, and awareness of local health issues

Salary Information:
Starting from $80,445 + super + salary sacrificing options.
