Refrigeration mechanic

Lindsay Transport is currently seeking Fridge Mechanics to join the workshop team based in our Melbourne Depot on a full-time basis.

About the role:

Lindsay Transport is currently seeking a Transport Refrigeration Mechanic to join our Melbourne team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leading first class transportation company and play a key part in assisting hundreds of Australian businesses every day to meet their logistics and transportation needs.

Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Service, maintenance & repairs of transport refrigeration units
2. Carry out repairs to the refrigeration and diesel components of the unit
3. Check & ensure units are operating correctly before leaving the depot
4. Carry out repairs and servicing in line with Lindsays maintenance plan
5. Fill out paperwork and update service records as required for work carried out
6. Work onsite at our 3 Melbourne yards or customer sites as required
7. Ability to work unsupervised or as a part of our existing team when at the workshop

About You:

To be successful for this role applicant must have:

1. Trade qualified with a current refrigerant handling licence
2. 2 years' experience in Transport refrigeration repairs
3. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing
4. Current drivers licence
5. Own basic tools (specialist tools are provided) (tool allowance paid)
6. Basic computer skills
7. Clear and concise communication skills
8. Experience with Thermo King & Carrier products
9. Attention to detail & pride in your work
10. Effective diagnostic skills
