With a number of projects underway, this boutique studio offers a secure, permanent position for an all-rounder with a growth mindset.

Recognised as one of the most distinguished architectural landscape practices, our client has been delivering exceptional design solutions for decades in Melbourne and around Australia.

Highly qualified and experienced, the team undertakes landscape conservation and management studies, heritage assessments, tree management and replacement plans and park master plans. They take great pride in creating well thought out environments, for both the public and private sectors.

With a long-standing member of the team relocating regionally, a rare opportunity has opened up for a Graduate of Landscape Architecture to come on board.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

- Degree or Diploma qualified in Landscape Architecture
- 3+ years of experience across residential, commercial and community sectors
- Capable of preparing landscape plans, design documentation and detailed drawings
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of landscape practices, technical detailing, planting design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Liaise with Council, relevant authorities, clients and consultants
- Site context and lot yield analysis, assist with preparation of reports
- Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, regulations and codes

Working closely with the Director, Senior Landscape Architects and horticulturists, this role will focus on your accurate, efficient AutoCAD skills to produce high quality documentation.

You’ll work across a broad range of landscapes ranging from private residential gardens to apartments and estates, streetscapes, infrastructure and playgrounds. A sound understanding of design sensitivity and environmental impact is essential, along with knowledge of plant and horticultural materials and structures.

Available for an immediate start, initially on a contract basis for the first three months, however there is a strong likelihood this will extend long-term based on the range and scale of projects underway and projected.

Based on the eastern fringe of the city centre, on the tram line and a ten-minute walk from the train station, this studio offers a traditional, stable, laid-back environment within a friendly, supportive team who all share a love of the outdoors.

The ideal experience range is for a minimum of 3+ years, but we encourage those who fall just outside this range to still apply
