An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Patient Services Assistant to join Ward 7 South at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer, Wellness and Research Centre within Austin Health in both a fixed term and permanent part time capacity.

Fixed term until March 2nd 2025 (21hrs/week)
- Week 1:

- Monday 1300-2130
- Tuesday 1300-2130
- Wednesday 1500-2130
- Sunday 1300-2130
- Week 2:

- Monday - Thursday 1500-2130
- Sunday 1500-2130

Permanent Part-time (9hrs/week)
- Week 1:

- Thursday 1500-2130
- Friday 1500-2130
- Week 2:

- Thursday 1500-2130

Ward 7 South is a 32 bed specialist oncology/haematology unit. We care for patients at any stage after their diagnosis of cancer. We are a dynamic team of nurses, doctors, allied health, clerical and patient services assistants and work together to achieve the best outcomes for our patients and their families.

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:

- A commitment to Austin Health values: Integrity, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
- PSA Certificate - Certificate III in Health (Patient Services)
- Willing to work in a hospital environment with sick people
- Flexible attitude
- Willingness to carry out all PSA duties and tasks and work in a team
- Ability to use initiative and to prioritise tasks and problem solve
- Physically capable of undertaking the full range of PSA duties
- Verbal and written English skills
