Environmental Advisor

**The Opportunity**:
Veolia ANZ is seeking an Environmental Advisor to join our team based in Kilburn 5084. As the Environmental Advisor you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and continually improving the environmental management system for the Veolia waste team.

**What you'll be responsible for**:

- Providing expert environmental knowledge, support, and solutions to environmental issues.
- Participating in the development, implementation and review of quality systems.
- Monitoring and reporting on environmental compliance and risks.
- Communicating changes in legislation.
- Implementing measures to ensure a high level of environmental compliance and occupational health and safety.
- Ensuring site management knowledge of licence, consent and permit conditions.
- Manage environmental compliance investigations.
- Developing and implementing environment and health and safety compliance plans.
- Ensuring a continuous improvement culture.

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- Tertiary qualification or relevant work experience equivalent.
- Experience landfill operations, monitoring and reporting highly regarded.
- Quality assurance and environmental management systems experience.
- Demonstrated experience with sampling and preservation methods and analytical testing.
