As a Portfolio Scheduling Specialist you will support the achievement of the Major Projects portfolio objectives through development and optimisation of the portfolio level schedules for major projects.
- Assist in establishing the portfolio-level planning and scheduling function to ensure full portfolio transparency, identification of any emerging schedule-related risks at portfolio level and provide recommendations on potential risk-mitigation strategies.
- Proactively engage with project planning and scheduling teams on individual major projects to ensure that the critical schedule changes and associated risks are proactively reflected in the portfolio level schedule.
- Strategically consider the organisational portfolio forecast to identify and manage dependencies and other identified organisational constraints, this includes maintaining a dependency register to track inter-project dependencies.
- Establish and facilitate regular Integrated Planning workshops with planning & scheduling teams across individual major projects as well as other project delivery teams (as required), to ensure all the schedule-related constraints and risks at the portfolio level are timely resolved and addressed.

Based in Bowen Hills, reporting to Manager Portfolio Planning the role will work closely with planning and scheduling teams across Major Projects to ensure the individual project schedules are timely reflected and integrated into the portfolio level schedule for the purposes of portfolio level reporting and optimisation.

Our Major Projects Office exists to manage the governance and controls that underpin the lifecycle of our large-scale projects - establishing our strategic aspiration to become a major developer that safely delivers complex and significant CAPEX projects over the next decade.

**Your expertise**:
**Essential**
- Degree level qualification in Engineering, Management, Business or a related discipline, coupled with extensive relevant experience in project and portfolio level planning and scheduling.
- Expert knowledge of the relevant planning tools (e.g. Primavera and MS Project).

**Desirable**
- Project Management qualifications and familiarity with the relevant reporting platforms (e.g. Power BI).

**We’d also love you to have**:

- Extensive experience in project environment, with good understanding of both in greenfield and brownfield development and delivery.
- Demonstrated experience and capability in project scheduling, including managing dependencies, resource assignments, baselining, and critical path analysis as well as proficiency in earned value analysis, including Schedule Performance Index (SPI).
- Expert user of project planning/scheduling tools including Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
- Experience in portfolio optimisation and the suite of portfolio analysis tools that enable effective scenario planning and forecasting.
