Our federal client is seeking an APS6 level officer to enhance Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander workforce representation within the branch.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement a First Nations Employment Strategy with a detailed action plan.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with relevant government strategies and initiatives.
- Define career pathways for First Nations employees to facilitate professional growth and advancement.
- Engage in stakeholder consultation with various sections and branches across the division and department.
**Key Skills**:
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing diversity and inclusion strategies, particularly focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of the cultural sensitivities and considerations relevant to working with First Nations communities.
- Knowledge of Commonwealth career pathway programs and relevant policies and initiatives.
