**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Manager - Subcontractor Management Team as Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day processing of payments, exceptions and auditing of payments is delivered accurately and on time.

You will engage, manage and motivate a team of friendly professionals in governing the effective processing of payments and will oversee the respective systems that support the process to payment. You will also lead key continuous improvement projects and be responsible for roll out and delivery of key initiatives.

**Some key components of this role**:

- Plan activities and coordinate with others autonomously to achieve results on a day-to-day basis, and contribute to the strategy of the team
- Ensure the team overall works to and builds its capability in a positive and open environment
- Identify, evaluate and develop opportunities to grow the business with customers such as through innovative or more efficient technologies, methods or processes
- Ensure the work and results of areas are to a consistently high standard
- Empower and coach others throughout their work to identify and develop strengths
- Ensure others work to the highest standards of safety and environmental sustainability
- Maximise profitability by taking ownership of work results beyond immediate team or area when not directly or personally responsible for the overall end-to-end process
- Read customer situations accurately, anticipate their business needs and identify opportunities to significantly enhance the breadth and quality of the service experience
- Recognise people when they put the customer first

**About you**:
You are a confident, self-motivated and genuine individual who possesses a natural ability to lead, mentor and develop a productive and happy team. As a strong communicator you can easily build successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders across the business and leverage these relationships to influence and achieve goals.

With an analytical mind that thinks creatively you will have proven problem-solving ability and be solutions orientated. You will have an enthusiastic approach to work and will foster a collaborative and supportive team environment with an approachable management style.

**Key skills we are looking for**:

- Successful track record working in Finance or Payroll administration
- Demonstrated team leadership or mentoring, supervisory experience
- Excellent understanding of accounting/payroll processes with strong literacy and numeracy skills and focus on attention to detail
- Experience identifying and driving process improvement initiatives
- Natural ability to build effective relationships with your team and key stakeholder in the business
