Our state-of-the-art Nestlé Quality Assurance Centre (NQAC) Mulgrave team is looking for an experienced Laboratory Coordinator specialising in Method Validation for a 12-month contract role in our Chemistry Lab.

**A day in the life**

Reporting to the Section Manager of the Chemistry Lab, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Leading a project for the chemistry laboratory validating new methods.
- Setting up new equipment (specifically instrumental chemistry) for the project.
- Establishing procedures for the project and training all other analysts.
- Planning and performing analytical methods and procedures for QC testing whilst maintaining GMP and ISO 17025 compliance.
- Responsible for implementing and optimising analytical methods.
- Prepare and submit required reports (e.g.validation).
- Support and execute deviation, OOS, Root Cause investigations and CAPA.
- Participate in problem solving routines and maintain work area according to 5S principles.
- Participate in laboratory audit program.

This is a chance to join a close-knit motivated and professional team at NQAC, where we provide analytical services to Nestlé factories and co-manufacturers in the Oceania region.

**What will make you successful**
- Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or related discipline.
- Project Management and Method Validation Expertise.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a commercial Chemistry Laboratory or a laboratory that handles routine analysis.
- Experience in a food laboratory working with LC-MS/MS (highly advantageous), ICP-OES, GC, HPLC and knowledge of basic preventative maintenance on these instruments.
- Experience using a Laboratory Information Management (LIMS) system.
- Previous experience in a NATA accredited laboratory.
- Experience in SOP writing to comply with NATA and TGA requirements.
- Great attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respect a timeline.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
